Will also have petition to sign for chemistry related US stamps. We need 75 signatures. Remember to bring baked goods if you signed up. Remember to work during the time you volunteered. Contact: Monica and Elizabeth Recruitment Barbeque Date: Tuesday, September 22 from 12:45-2:00 Contact: Graham, Monica, Elizabeth and Danielle Boy Scout Merit Badge Clinic Date: Saturday September 26 from 9am-12pm We need roughly 10 people to volunteer for this event. Contact: Dr. Benvenuto Fall Frolic Date: Friday October 2 Note that the day has been changed from the 3rd to the 2nd. The meeting time is roughly dinner time at Dr. Mio’s parent’s house in Port Huron. Contact: Dr. Mio Mole Day Date: Friday October 23 starting at 2pm. If any new member is willing to assist with organizing this event please feel free to contact me. It will help to have both a new and returning member to assist with organizing this annual event. Contact: Michael and Monica Safety Street Date: Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30 We will be working with Alpha Epsilon Delta to make a combined façade. We need volunteers to help paint the façade on Thursday and hand out candy on Friday. Contact: Gavin Speakers and Tours We need speakers for this upcoming year, especially some who have gone into non-traditional science professions. Contact: Graham Green Chemistry We need a minimum of 3 green chemistry events in order to receive an ACS award. Dr. Benvenuto mentioned writing a letter to the State Representatives about purifying medicine out of our water and a possible 5 cent return for unused medicine. Dr. Mio and Dr. Bartley will find out about a possible sustainability grant. Contact: Michael Movie Contest We need ideas about making a chemistry video for an ACS contest. The videos are due at the end of September. The current ideas consist of claymation and Joe possibly scoring music to the video. 3 winners each receive $5,000 WISE Floor Tutoring Please volunteer to help tutor on the 2nd floor of Shiple Contact: Stephanie
